Harvick was “freaky fast” in his win at Phoenix.

Kevin Harvick continued his dominance in the desert with back to back wins. While not making the final round of knockout qualifying, Saturday practice confirmed that he could run up front. After the competition caution at Lap 37, Harvick continued to push his way to the front. On Lap 74, he swept down to the apron, passing Logano to take the lead. Later in the race, several cautions brought the field back together, but the #4 Chevy held the field at bay.

With the win, Harvick has taken a major step to assuring himself a step in this year’s Chase. Two Chevys are now virtually locked in making this writer wonder where the dominant Toyota is this season.
