Gordon holds off Harvick to win in the Heartland

It was a stormy Saturday night at Kansas Speedway when Jeff Gordon came out of no where to finally grab his first win of the 2014 NASCAR Spring Cup Series season. The race started 35 minutes late because of rain. While the strongest part of the storm stayed north & west of the track, there was enough rain to delayed start, where Kevin Harvick started on the pole.

For Jeff Gordon, this win was the culmination of what has been a good season to date. By just leading the nine final laps, Gordon earned his 89th career wind in his 736th Sprint Cup Series start. For more info on this race, go to Speedway Digest.
