At 11 AM ET, Hurricane Arthur was located near 37.7°N, 73.4°W, about 100 miles east-southeast of Ocean City, MD, moving northeast at 24 mph. Maximum sustained winds have dropped to 90 mph (Category 2 on Saffir-Simpson scale), while the central pressure remains 28.82 in Hg.

There are changes to the advisories with this update:

– All hurricane warnings have been discontinued.
– A tropical storm warning is now in effect from the North Carolina/Virginia border to Cape Charles, VA, including the Chesapeake Bay, Nantucket Island, and for Cape Cod from Provincetown to Woods Hole, MA.
– A tropical storm warning has replaced the TS watch issued by Environment Canada for New Brunswick from the US/Canada border to Grand-Anse, all of Nova Scotia including Cape Breton Island, and all of Prince Edward Island.
