The weekend forecast for Iowa Speedway is for an increasing chance for showers and t-storms on Saturday afternoon, including a marginal risk for severe weather. Practice times are 10 AM and 12 noon CDT, which should occur with potential interruptions from stray showers. The 5:45 PM qualifying Saturday afternoon has a much higher possibility for interruption/cancellation.
On Sunday, the rain is expected to push out in the morning hours, allowing for Xfinity Series racing on Sunday afternoon. A slight delay on the 2:16 PM start time is possible, depending on when the morning rain ends.
