NASCAR at Talladega

Weather discussion – Sat 10/24, 8:45 AM CT: Little change in the forecast – Partly cloudy are forecast for today and there is a slight chance for showers tomorrow. This will be contingent on the timing of a low pressure center currently developing over northern Mexico. For now, the associated moisture is generally forecast to stay further west. Most forecast model guidance indicates dry skies, while the SREF and NAM models do point to a slight chance of showers. I will leave the showers out of the actual forecast and use this discussion as my “hedge”.

For full disclosure, I will be at the Circuit of the Americas for the Formula One race on Sunday. I will be coordinating with others but also focused on the probably rainy Formula One race.
