Pre-race inspection for the Instacart 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix Raceway was completed Saturday evening.

The cars of #5-Kyle Larson, #24-William Byron, and #51-Cody Ware failed inspection twice and those drivers will have to start at the rear of the field on Sunday.

Larson was scheduled to start second after his win at Las Vegas. Byron was to start 10th and Ware 31st.

In addition, the #53 Chevy of Rick Ware Racing is expected to have an official driver change. J.J. Yeley was on the initial entry list and starting lineup, but the team has announced that Garrett Smithley will be behind the wheel. That will force Smithley to the back as well.
