NASCAR has announced three lug nut penalties following the Buschy McBusch Race 400 at Kansas Speedway and one reinstatement:

Cup Series

5/2/2021 (post-race inspection)
#1-Kurt Busch
Sections 10.9.10.4: Tires and Wheels Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed.
Crew chief (Matt McCall) has been fined $10,000.

5/2/2021 (post-race inspection)
#17-Chris Buescher
Sections 10.9.10.4: Tires and Wheels Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed.
Crew chief (Luke Lambert) has been fined $10,000.

5/2/2021 (post-race inspection)
#22-Joey Logano
Sections 10.9.10.4: Tires and Wheels Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed.
Crew chief (Paul Wolfe) has been fined $10,000.

NASCAR Reinstatement

5/4/2021
Jonathan Stewart has successfully completed NASCAR’s Road to Recovery Program. His NASCAR suspension has been lifted.

NOTE: Stewart was suspended in March 2021 for violation of NASCAR’s sports-gambling policy.
