Beginning this weekend at the NASCAR All-Star Race at Texas Motor Speedway, Jonathan Hassler will replace Greg Erwin as the crew chief of the No. 21 team, calling the shots for Matt DiBenedetto.

Erwin is let go of his crew chief duty after spending the past three and a half seasons as part of Wood Brothers Racing. Hassler filled in as crew chief of the No. 21 car at Martinsville Speedway in early April.

Through 16 Cup races, DiBenedetto sits 17th in the championship standings, 60 points below the cutline, currently held by Chris Buescher. The No. 21 team has just three top-10 finishes on the year.

Starting with this weekend‘s all star race in Texas, Jonathan Hassler will assume the crew chief role for our 21 Mustang.
We want to thank Greg Erwin for leading our team for the previous three seasons.
