The NASCAR Cup Series return to Road America was an interesting one for several drivers during practice on Saturday.

The end result is that #18-Busch and #37-Preece will go to backup cars for the race on Sunday and start from the rear of the field.

Preece ran off track on his first lap of the day.  He has never driven at Road America before.

Kyle Busch was fastest early in the session and ended up second fastest in practice, but will have to come through the field on Sunday.

#78-Kyle Tilly got off course and stuck in the gravel, #2-Keselowski took a spin on track.

A little too deep for @KyleTilley as he ends up in the gravel trap at @roadamerica. 🥴 pic.twitter.com/7RAZH4okMe
