Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic is reporting that NASCAR is finalizing a plan to add Portland International Raceway, a 1.967-mile road course, to the 2022 Xfinity Series schedule.
Portland hosted two Camping World Truck Series races in 1999 and 2000. But NASCAR hasn’t visited the Pacific Northwest since June of 2000, when the Truck Series ran at Evergreen Speedway.
The full 2022 Xfinity Series schedule is expected to be released some time in the next week.
