The Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children‘s Charities is asking everyone to join them for a very special walk in the dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 16 to help raise much needed money for children in the Appalachian Highlands Region.
The Dirt Walk presented by State Water Heaters takes place that Saturday morning from 8:30-10 a.m. and is one of several fundraising events being conducted by Bristol-SCC officials leading up to the running of the Food City Dirt Race on Easter Sunday, April 17.
Participants will be able to see the dirt up close, touch it and take plenty of photos during the tour. Participants must register online for the Dirt Walk and tickets are $25. Kids are admitted free with a paying adult. The Dirt Walk presented by State Water Heaters participants also should choose appropriate clothes and shoes and expect to get a little dirty during the tour.
Other notable events planned by SCC-Bristol to benefit thousands of children in the region during the race week include the opening of a special SCC-Bristol Legacy Shop on the stadium concourse, limited-edition SCC-Bristol NFT tokens, an online auction, the return of the popular Red Bucket Brigade, the new Restaurant Roundup, and the chance to receive a limited Souvenir Mini Dirt Jar through the SCC-Bristol Change Maker campaign.

For guests who enjoy a fun shopping experience while they are at the track, the SCC-Bristol Legacy Shop will host its grand opening during the weekend on the speedway concourse, in a booth just to the left of the Gate 14 entrance. The SCC-Bristol Legacy Shop will offer all kinds of great deals on a wide variety of memorabilia as well as plenty of new items too. All purchases made at the Legacy Shop will benefit Speedway Children‘s Charities.
The familiar SCC Red Buckets will be passing through the grandstands, concourse level and suites throughout the Food City Dirt Race weekend during the Red Bucket Brigade presented by First Horizon Bank on Saturday and presented by Hardee‘s Restaurants on Sunday. Guests are encouraged to drop their loose change or any dollar amount into the buckets as they pass by. Guests can also donate to the Virtual Red Bucket via the SCC website or by using the text to give option. Just text “Kidswin” to 44-321 to donate.
Guests can once again take home some of the Bristol dirt from the weekend in special souvenir Sugarlands Shine Commemorative Mini Dirt Jars that will benefit Speedway Children‘s Charities. The first 500 guests to make a $50-plus donation to the SCC-Bristol Change Maker campaign will receive one of the collectable mini dirt jars, which will make the perfect keepsake from the event.
SCC-Bristol also will host its first Restaurant Roundup from April 11-17, where patrons can make a donation to SCC when purchasing a meal at select restaurants. Participating restaurants include Buddy‘s BBQ, Drake‘s, Bistro on Sixth and Cascade Draft House.
Starting on Wednesday, April 13, 1,000 limited edition SCC-Bristol Tokens will be available through RaceDay NFT for $50 each. An NFT is a one-of-a-kind piece of digital content that is an officially licensed collectible. The NFT‘s ownership is authenticated and verifiable by the blockchain, a technology used for things like bitcoins. By purchasing your token, you will benefit SCC-Bristol‘s mission to help children. A special online auction is already underway with lots of autographed items, unique memorabilia and once-in-a-lifetime interactive experiences available for bidding.
