In recognition of National Police Week, Premier Security Solutions has partnered with Carson Hocevar to remember the lives of 12 Fallen Flint Police officers during this weekends NASAR Truck Series race at Kansas.

One of the names being Flint Police Chief Captain Collin Birnie, who tragically lost his life weeks from retirement. Birnie served with the Flint Police Department for 26 years as the Patrol Bureau commander, Bomb Squad commander, Tactical Team commander, lead firearms instructor and many other duties. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm before joining the police department. To honor his legacy,Niece Motorsports will carry his name over the window of Hocevar‘s truck for Saturday‘s race.

Carson will also carry the name of Fallen Officers Neil Krantz, Gerald Leach, John Wopinski, Matthew Hauer, Avera M. Hudson, Caleb Embree Smith, David Lucious Williams, Owen David Fisher, Leslie Dean Keely, Alton Fritcher, and James Mcullough on the #42 truck.

Carson‘s primary sponsor, Premier Security Solutions was eager to be involved with this weekends tribute as Dave Forystek, owner of Premier Security Solutions along with his father Tom Forystek are both retired Flint Police officers.

Following back to back runner up finishes in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Carson Hocevar aims to honor the names of the 12 Fallen Flint Police officers riding on his truck by capturing his first career win in their honor.

“Pretty excited for Kansas, a lot of positives for this 42 team and a ton of momentum. We are racing with heavy hearts and racing for good cause for a lot of great souls and officers in Kansas, so we want to put our best foot forward and hopefully give them something to celebrate in victory lane” said Hocevar.
