Kaulig Racing announced on Wednesday that reigning NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Ben Rhodes will practice and qualify the #16 Chevrolet for AJ Allmendinger on Saturday while Allmendinger races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Portland International Raceway.
“With our road-course ringer, AJ Allmendinger, competing at Portland on Saturday in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and pulling double duty at WWT Raceway on Sunday, we‘d like to thank Ben Rhodes for helping out an filling in to practice and qualify our No. 16 @GoldFishSlots Camaro,” the team shared on social media.
Allmendinger will drop to the rear of the field on Sunday following the driver change.
