[Bill Wanger, Fox Sports‘ executive vice president and head of programming and scheduling] said Fox is particularly keen on continuing to work with NASCAR on schedule innovation. On top of the Busch Light Clash at the L.A. Coliseum, Fox got to air the second edition of the Bristol dirt race and the inaugural Cup Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway near St. Louis.

One of the races this year that was widely seen in the industry as unsuccessful was the All-Star Race at Texas Motor Speedway, which produced mediocre racing and attendance. Wanger said Fox is working with NASCAR on moving the race to different locations each year in the same way other sports do, such as the MLB All-Star Game.
