Brandonbilt Motorsports (BMS) announced that Kris Wright has signed as the newest driver beginning next weekend in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) event at the Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International on Saturday, August 20.
Wright joins BMS with experience in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS), 34 starts, 17 ARCA Menards Series starts, and seven NASCAR Xfinity Series starts between 2020 and 2022.
Wright‘s resume includes a podium finish in the LMP2 class (second place) and seventh overall in the 2019 Rolex 24 at the Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.
“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be back in the NASCAR Xfinity Series garage, and surrounded by a great team, Brandonbilt Motorsports,” Wright said. “The team has been super helpful in trying to acclimate me into the No. 68 Chevrolet Camaro for the majority of the remainder of the 2022 season.”

The partnership will include nine events during the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season including at the Darlington (S.C.) Raceway, Kansas Speedway, Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL, Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway, Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway, Martinsville (Va.) Speedway and the Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway.

BMS welcomes Wright‘s current partners First National Bank (FNB), iHeart Radio, Big Dog Energy, Wright Automotive Group and ZRM Enterprises LLC.
The August 20 event at the Watkins Glen International will see Wright pilot the FNB No. 68 Chevrolet Camaro, with coverage beginning live on USA Network at 3:00 p.m. ET.
