Joe Graf Jr. and SS Green Light Racing have parted ways ahead of the upcoming 2023 NASCAR season, Bobby Dotter, team owner, said in a video.
Since the 2020 season, Graf has been the primary driver for SS Green Light, competing in 90 of 99 possible races. He has a pair of top-1o efforts, including his best career finish of eighth last spring at Talladega Superspeedway.
“As we close out another season, it‘s time for change here,” Dotter said in the video.
“We‘ve had three great years with Joe Graf Jr. and his family, and I can‘t say enough for him, how happy I was to work with him, and how grateful I am for everything they‘ve done for us. But, it‘s time for some new change, so we‘ll be looking at some different drivers next year.”
SS Green Light Racing picked up its first career win in 2022, when Cole Custer dominated at Auto Club Speedway, in a car that was prepared by Stewart-Haas Racing. Graf is expected to announce his 2023 plans in the coming weeks.
