Not only will BJ McLeod Motorsports see a shift in two new full-time drivers for its Xfinity Series program for the 2023 season, but the team has added two new crew chiefs, team owner BJ McLeod confirmed to Jayski.com.

Veteran crew chief Pat Tryson will follow Anthony Alfredo over to call the shots on the No. 78 Chevrolet this upcoming season. The duo worked together last year for Our Motorsports, earning four top-10 finishes.

Lee Leslie, who was listed as crew chief in 14 Cup Series races last season for McLeod’s Live Fast Motorsports, has been named crew chief for Garrett Smithley and the No. 99 team.

BJ McLeod Motorsports will condense down to two full-time teams in 2023 and solely run Chevrolets. A possible third entry could be fielded for a Cup Series driver in a one-off start.

Pat Tryson will move over to BJ McLeod Motorsports with Anthony Alfredo to crew chief the No. 78 car.
