Trackhouse Racing’s team owner Justin Marks said Wednesday that the team will preserve Ross Chastain’s car used at Martinsville last fall.

On the final lap of the race, Chastain floored the car, riding the outside wall to the checkered flag. He picked up five spots to finish fifth and secure his spot in the championship race.

He said the move at Martinsville (which was just outlawed by NASCAR) was historic and the car should be kept as it is.

“This sport isn’t just about the balance sheet, it’s about passion and moments and people”, said Marks.
