MBM Motorsports can confirm that Mason Maggio will drive our #66 HMY Yacht Sales Ford Mustang at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, as the 18-year-old seeks his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in the Alsco Uniforms 300.
The Palm Beach Gardens, Florida-native captured 2nd place in the 2022 Carolina Pro Late Model Series Championship on the strength of three race wins in 11 starts, taking victories at Franklin County Speedway, Goodyear All American Speedway, and Motor Mile Speedway. Also in 2022, Maggio competed at the NASCAR national series level for the first time, starting four NASCAR Truck Series events and reaching the checkered flag in all of them.
“I’m very excited to be rolling the dice at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for my NASCAR Xfinity Series debut,” said an enthusiastic Maggio. “It’s a step up the NASCAR ladder that I look forward to making. The Floridian driver and MBM team have already worked together this year, as Maggio was one of three racers to pilot an MBM Xfinity car at Charlotte Motor Speedway in January pre-season testing.
“When we tested at Charlotte, we showed a lot of potential. The seat time and building chemistry with the team really helped prepare me for the opportunity to go to Vegas. With the potential we showed, I think we’ll have a good run and get a respectful result for my first Xfinity Series race,” said Maggio.
MBM crew chief Jason Houghtaling, a veteran of more than 150 NASCAR national series races calling the shots, echoed those sentiments.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series on-track action at Las Vegas Motor Speedway begins on Friday, March 3rd with practice and qualifying beginning at 3:30 pm PST (6:30 pm EST). The 300-mile race is scheduled for Saturday, March 4th at 1:30 pm PST (4:30 pm EST) and will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 1.
