What a start to the year it‘s been for William Byron. In his first five years in NASCAR he had won two races in a season just once, now he‘s won the last two weeks in a row. Now the books believe that Byron is the favorite to win a third race in a row, but he‘s expected to have fierce competition in Kyle Larson.

Byron is given +900 odds, or an implied 10% chance to win the Ambetter Health 400 for a second straight year. However, Larson is also given +900 odds to win after back to back top-5 finishes.

Meanwhile, current cup standings leader Alex Bowman is given +1800 odds, or an implied 5.3% chance to win the race. Tyler Reddick has also joined the top-10 after a third place finish last week, as he looks to get his season on track.

Quote from OddsChecker spokesman Kyle Newman, “William Byron is attempting to win three of the first five races of the season. No driver has accomplished that since Kevin Harvick won three of the first four in 2018. That year Harvick went on to compete in the Championship race, something Byron has never done in his career. He‘s currently +1200 to win the Championship, sixth on the market.”
