Shortly after a multi-car incident towards the end of the second stage in the Ag-Pro 300 Xfinity Series race at Talladega Superspeedway, Fox Sports reported that Blaine Perkins would be transported to a local medical facility for further evaluation. He was transported due to an abundance of caution.
With three laps remaining in the stage, Dexter Stacey got loose and hit the inside wall. Perkins went to avoid Stacey and his No. 02 Chevrolet turned and got hit by Jade Buford, who was competing in his second race of the season.
Perkins was coming off his best finish of the 2023 season last weekend at Martinsville Speedway, placing 13th.
A wild crash for Blaine Perkins. A huge hit for Dexter Stacey. Everyone is okay. Wow. https://t.co/Zf7MwyVQaz pic.twitter.com/qZ6K4hh4qo
