One week after battling for the Xfinity Series win at Road America in the waning laps, Sage Karam will return to the track at Michigan International Speedway.
Karam will be driving the No. 66 car, which has qualified for just eight events during the 2023 season. With 40 cars on the entry list, two cars will fail to qualify.
“I am very happy to have Sage in our car,” Carl Long, owner of MBM, said in a statement. “He is a champion who can go fast.
“This season has been the worst in our history. We believe we have competitive cars, we just have not shown it. For Michigan, we have a really good car and a really good driver. I am glad Sage and his group are working with us to help start our turnaround.”
Karam ended up finishing fourth at Road America for Sam Hunt Racing, his best finish in 20 career Xfinity starts.
