Jimmie Johnson says he will not run any more races this year.  He was initially expected to run 5-7 races.

He competed in the Daytona 500 as well at COTA and the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte earlier in the season with a best finish of 31st at Daytona.

He plans a limited schedule next season as Legacy Motor Club switches to Toyota with Erik Jones and John Hunter Nemechek.

On NASCAR Race Hub, Jimmie Johnson says he won’t race again this year but will get back in the No. 84 Cup car next year for select races and that he hopes they can announce a schedule soon.
