The Race Team Alliance (RTA), in conjunction with its member teams announces the inaugural Racers Forum presented by R3, to be held at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte on Oct. 17, 2023.  The event will be a premier business conference for the racing industry, featuring NASCAR Teams, Tracks, Executives and Partners.  The private event will provide the motorsports industry with an environment to interact in a causal, yet accessible setting through a series of panel discussions with industry leaders.

The Racers Forum looks to bring the racing community together to discuss the most relevant topics facing the sport today but in a smart, fun, and interesting way.


The Evolution of Ownership: Like all sports, NASCAR teams have historically been family owned and operated but also like other sports, many NASCAR teams are going through ownership transitions.  This panel addresses some of those challenges.  Abe Madkour, executive editor of the Sports Business Journal will moderate a panel of some of the biggest names in NASCAR. The panel features Jeff Gordon, Vice Chairman of Hendrick Motor Sports, Brad Keselowski, owner and driver for Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing, and Heather Gibbs, co-owner of Joe Gibbs Racing.The Business of Racing: Some might describe the NASCAR team president as the engine that keeps teams moving.  They are innovators, motivators and probably most importantly revenue generators. These NASCAR team presidents will share their experiences, challenges, and vision for the future of NASCAR. The panelists include Torrey Galida of Richard Childress Racing, Steve Lauletta of 23XI Racing and Steve Newmark of RFK Racing, while Danielle Trotta of SiriusXM moderatesMulti-Series Racing:  Motorsports in American is a rather tightknit community and there are a handful of teams that find participating in multiple forms of racing important.  This panel delves into the reasons why this is becoming a trend.  This panel is moderated by Rick Allen, lead NASCAR announcer for NBC Sports with panelists Tim Cindric of Team Penske, Ray Evernham of Ray Evernham Enterprises, and Rick Ware of Rick Ware Racing.Building Mutual Value:  More than ever, Teams, Tracks, and NASCAR are working together to build mutual value by creating and delivering satisfying customer experiences for their fans and corporate partners. This panel will explore the topic and share their perspective and knowledge on the all-important customer experience, and the journey to sustained success off the track.  The Panel will be moderated by Peter Jung, Chief Marketing Officer of NASCAR with panelists: Julie Giese, president of Chicago Street Race, Jessica Fickenscher, Chief Experience Officer of Speedway Motorsports, Ty Norris, president of Trackhouse Racing and Will Pleasants, managing director of Wasserman Media Group.
