Pharmaceutical entrepreneur and local businessman Don Panoz purchased Road Atlanta in 1996 and embarked on a major improvement program, drastically updating the circuit. In 2012, Road Atlanta was purchased by NASCAR Holdings and joined the new IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship as the final race on the IMSA calendar in 2014, beginning an exciting new era of road racing in North America.

In 2019, Michelin North America signed on as the first-ever entitlement partner of the race track, changing the facility name to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. As a result of the new Michelin partnership and with huge thanks to NASCAR and the France family, the new Michelin Tower was constructed on the site of the old tower and debuted at the 22nd Annual Motul Petit Le Mans in October of 2019.

As one of the top entertainment centers in Georgia, Michelin Raceway offers individuals, families and large corporate groups a fun and family-friendly environment. Our Kids 12 & Under Are Always Free policy gives families an affordable family outing.
