Friday Discussion: A warm and increasingly humid weekend is expected at Iowa Speedway as temperatures climb into the upper 80s to near 90°F. With the corn crop approaching peak maturity, don't be surprised if a little "corn sweat" boosts humidity levels, making conditions feel several degrees warmer than the thermometer indicates.
Saturday should remain mostly dry, although an isolated late-day thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. Storm chances increase Sunday afternoon and evening as a cold front approaches from the north. While much of the day should remain favorable for on-track activity, teams should monitor radar for scattered thunderstorms capable of gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall later in the day.
