Saturday: Warm conditions are expected at World Wide Technology Raceway, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the upper 80s. Most of the scheduled on-track activity should remain dry, including the 6:30 PM CDT O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race. Thunderstorms are expected to develop farther west across Missouri late in the day and move east Saturday night. While an isolated strong or severe storm could produce damaging winds and heavy rainfall, current guidance favors the greater threat arriving after the race, with considerable uncertainty in how far southeast the storms track.
Sunday: The forecast becomes somewhat more uncertain as a cold front stalls across the region. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible, although guidance currently favors the better coverage across northeast Missouri and west-central Illinois. That places Gateway near the southern edge of the more favored corridor. Temperatures should remain warm, with the 2:00 PM Cup race carrying a low but non-zero interruption risk.

World Wide Technology Raceway, commonly known as Gateway, is a 1.25-mile oval located in Madison, Illinois, just across the Mississippi River from downtown St. Louis.
