With Throwback Weekend at Darlington Raceway just one month away, Team Penske surprised Joey Logano on Thursday’s (April 8) edition of NASCAR Race Hub unveiling his 2021 throwback paint scheme.
Logano will have the same colors on his No. 22 Ford as Mario Andretti did for his first career Formula 1 victory in 1971, coming in the South African Grand Prix.
Andretti, the only driver to have ever won the Daytona 500, Indianapolis 500 and Formula 1 World Championship called into Race Hub to discuss the paint scheme. Logano called the scenario “The greatest surprise.”
