Mike Harmon Racing and Wolfpack Racing announce that Beau‘s Beautiful Blessings will be the primary sponsor for Mike Harmon Racing‘s No. 47 Chevrolet Camaro Driven by Kyle Weatherman for the Pit Boss 250 at Circuit of The Americas.

Beau‘s Beautiful Blessings, Inc., formed in 2010, is an Iowa 501(c)3 non-profit, established by Amanda & Andy Weichers, and inspired by their son, Beau. Beau was born with a rare genetic condition known as ZBTB18. There are less than 10 known cases in the world. Beau is non-verbal, intellectually disabled, and suffers from epilepsy. Over the years they have encountered many challenges and medical needs, not covered by insurance, and decided other families were probably experiencing the same problems and needed financial assistance. Beau‘s Beautiful Blessings was formed to advocate, raise money and awareness for children with intellectual disabilities, brain abnormalities, brain injuries and epilepsy.

“At Beau’s Beautiful Blessings we are passionate about inclusion and advocating for children with intellectual disabilities. We work closely with area communities and school districts to assist and make sure they are developing programs and opportunities for children with special needs to be fully integrated with their “typical” peers. Years of experience with inclusion has shown me that peers gain more from full inclusion than even the child with special needs. Exposing children from an early age to those that are different from them creates understanding, empathetic adults and these are the people that will be leaders and employers in our communities,” said Amanda Weichers, Founder and President.

“We are excited to be on Kyle’s car and share our mission with the NASCAR world. Numerous special needs children have been able to benefit from our fully volunteer non-profit with items such as communication devices, service dogs, adaptive equipment and more. We even built a fully inclusive playground, ‘The Place to Play‘ Park, right here in Cedar Falls, Iowa,” said Amanda. “Inclusion Matters. Always.”

“It‘s fantastic to have such a great organization onboard with us this weekend,” said driver Kyle Weatherman. To have our inaugural race at COTA is awesome, and to have Beau‘s Beautiful Blessings riding with us makes it even more special. They are doing so many great things for many families.”

“It‘s a great honor to be carrying Beau‘s Beautiful Blessings on the car this week in COTA.” said Ray Page Director of Marketing for Wolfpack Racing, “As a father of two, special needs daughters, it‘s very humbling to be a part of bringing more awareness to intellectual disabilities and the importance of inclusion!” I would like to thank Amanda and Andy for allowing Shining a Light on Labrune Syndrome to ride along this weekend as well, bringing awareness to another rare neurological disease.”
