The Charlotte Motor Speedway racetrack is one of the top circuits that is used regularly by NASCAR, located in Concord, North Carolina. It’s located near the heart of NASCAR, making it one of the tracks that everyone associated with the sport enjoys.

Since its grand opening in 1960, the Charlotte Motor Speedway has been the hallowed ground for some of the most monumental races in NASCAR history. Its unique layout, featuring a 1.5-mile (2.4 km) track with 24-degree banking in the turns and 5-degree banking on both the frontstretch and backstretch, has witnessed countless moments of glory and triumph.

Currently, major races such as the Coca-Cola 600 and the Bank of America ROVAL 400 are hosted at the venue, with many of these races attracting bettors with the events that take place. Many will often look to use the Underdog Promo Code to enhance the experience further, as they can get a bonus on top of their deposit and then use on one of the NASCAR Cup Series races that take place.

Fast lap times and speeds can be recorded at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Due to the way that the track has been constructed, it’s not unsurprising to learn that there have been some very quick lap times to have taken place at the Charlotte Motor Speedway track over the 60+ years it’s been in existence and used.

Depending on the type of event that has been held, various times have been recorded, although many of the times have been around a similar time point. According to the fastest official race lap records, the following has been recorded for each event:

NASCAR “Roval” (Road Course-Oval with chicanes): 3.669 km (2019–present)

The course was slightly different in 2018, as backstraight chicane was altered. This saw an increase in the times recorded from 2018, with the following having been recorded:

Oval: 2.414 km (1960–present)

With stock cars getting quicker and drivers becoming more and more skilful, it wouldn’t be a surprise if we were to see these records smashed in the future.
