Alex Bowman‘s passion for rescue animals will be showcased in a big way this season. The driver of the No. 48 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE and primary sponsor Ally have teamed up with Best Friends Animal Society to aid rescue animals across the country during the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Bowman will run a gradient purple-to-orange scheme featuring Best Friends at Phoenix Raceway this month — Bowman‘s hometown track. Starting with the Phoenix race, Ally will donate $1,000 to a shelter in each city where a NASCAR Cup Series race is being hosted this year for a total of $33,000.

With every win Bowman earns in the No. 48 Ally machine this year, Ally will bump up its $1,000 donation to $10,000 for a shelter in that area.

Halo Animal Rescue in Avondale, Arizona, will receive the first donation when the Cup Series takes on Phoenix Raceway next weekend. Fans and animal lovers can learn more about Best Friends, including their initiative to end kill shelters by 2025, and donate to the cause by clicking here.
