Mike Harmon Racing and Wolfpack Racing are excited to announce that LOF Defence Systems will be the primary sponsor for the Cook Out 250 at Martinsville Speedway, on April 9, 2021. Along for the ride with LOF will be Brady‘s K9 Fund, a non-profit organization whose mission is to donate practical, mission ready ballistic vests to police and military working dogs.

Located in Edmonton AB, Canada, LOF Defence Systems is the leader in lightweight body armor systems for Military, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Security and K-9 Units.  LOF believes that conventional armor systems don‘t serve first responders as effectively as they could and set out to change the standard. Their tactical gear is hand crafted and backed by the best warranty in the industry. Decisions from R&D, selection of materials, manufacturing processes, quality control techniques and destructive testing are designed to create products that solve common problems, that are repairable, longer lasting and that will save a life.

LOF Defence K-9 STREETFIGHTER VEST is the industry standard in K-9 protection.  K-9 STREETFIGHTER VESTS were developed in conjunction with police and military handlers. Adapting the minimalist concept, LOF was able to keep them lightweight and practical, while utilizing integrated Outlast™ Technology to help regulate body heat keeping K-9 team members cool.  While providing both ballistic and edged weapon protection, the STREETFIGHTER VEST is also lightweight, buoyant and adaptable to the needs of the K-9 and their handler

“We are excited to partner with LOF Defence and Brady‘s K9 Fund for the Cookout 250 at Martinsville,” said Ray Page, director of marketing at Wolfpack Racing. “Through Kyle‘s relationships with Sgt. Mark Tappan and K9 Mattis (K9_Mattis), and Officer Phil Ritchey and K9 Raider (K9_raider281) we began the discussion of K9 vests and the lack of budget for them through local Police Departments.  Through those discussions the LOF Defence/Brady‘s K9 Fund car came to be.

“Mattis and Raider both use the LOF K-9 STREETFIGHTER VEST and their handlers spoke so highly of it, I knew I had to reach out to LOF for the partnership,” said Page. “My first call was to Leah Tornabene, COO of Brady‘s K9 Fund. I pitched her the idea and within a couple of hours she had me on the phone with Rhonda Lind, Director of LOF Defence Systems.”

“Our team is thrilled to announce our most recent partnership with Wolfpack Racing.  We provide life-saving body armor for law enforcement and military K9 units.  We have been working with Brady‘s K9 Fund along with many other community members to help vest K9‘s that are in need of this protective equipment. Our ultimate goal is to vest every single K9 officer in North America. We are grateful to be a part of this amazing community that supports our LEO‘s, First Responders and Soldiers,” said LOF CEO Darren Schulte.

Through this partnership we will be bringing awareness to and raising funds for K9 officers without proper vest protection,” said Page. “Brady‘s K9 Fund has donated 360 vests to K9 officers, and we want to increase that number in a significant way. Our goal with this partnership is to raise enough money for 100 K-9 vests”.

Kyle Weatherman states “I‘m stoked to have two amazing partners on our car for Martinsville. LOF Defence does great work in providing our military and members of law enforcement with the gear they need. Brady‘s K-9 Fund does so much good for all the dogs that put their lives on the line for our military, and for law enforcement. We couldn‘t ask for better partners.”
