Live Fast Motorsports will honor Specialist Five General Vehicle Repairman, Reese Roberts, for the 600 Miles of Remembrance at the Memorial Day Weekend race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Reese was a Specialist Five General Vehicle Repairmen who was shot down in a helicopter during the Vietnam War at the age of twenty years old in South Vietnam on April 13th, 1971. He served in the 1st Avn Brigade, 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry, C Troop.

Honoring Reese is special to team owner Matt Tifft and his wife Jordan. “Reese and his legacy are because of the fact that he was an adopted son into the Holt family, and would be considered Jordan‘s adopted uncle,” said Tifft. “My wife Jordan has her middle name named after him, subsequently leading to her business, Reece Boutique, being named in his honor and to continue her family‘s legacy.

“Reese was awarded the Purple Heart, and there is no better way to honor his legacy than being a part of our racing family on a very special Memorial Day car with Solomon Plumbing sponsoring our car.

Adorned on the No. 78 Ford Mustang with BJ McLeod behind the wheel will be Solomon Plumbing and Da-Quick Clip. Both sponsors will make their first appearance on the No. 78 Ford Mustang at Charlotte Motor Speedway during Memorial Day weekend on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. ET live on FOX and PRN radio.

The 600 Miles of Remembrance is to honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in active-duty service defending the country, fallen service members will be honored by featuring their names on the windshield of each NASCAR Cup Series car during the Memorial Day Weekend race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
