Justin Allgaier will have a new sponsor this weekend for the Xfinity Series race at Texas Motor Speedway, as Dollar Shave Club will be plastered on the No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet.
It will mark the first time Dollar Shave Club has been a sponsor in NASCAR since 2018, when Matt Tifft had the company on his No. 2 Chevrolet at Phoenix Raceway. In the final race of the 2017 Xfinity season, the company also sponsored Tifft, while driving for Joe Gibbs Racing.
Allgaier enters the weekend with two victories in the opening half of the 2021 Xfinity regular season. Currently, he ranks third on the playoff grid, despite sitting seventh in the overall standings.
In 21 starts at Texas, Allgaier has a pair of top-five finishes, including his third-place run last July. That day, the No. 7 car paced the field for a race-high 98 laps, but had a late pit road penalty, rebounding to third.
