James Davison will replace Kyle Tilley in the No. 5 BJ McLeod Motorsports car for today’s Pennzoil 150 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

Tilley, who has a sore shoulder, will focus on his Cup Series duties for Live Fast Motorsports, which includes a 50-minute practice session this morning.

This will be Davison’s first Xfinity Series race since 2018, when he finished eighth for Joe Gibbs Racing. He’s competed in 16 Cup races this season.

The No. 5 car must qualify into the show and was 43rd quickest on the scoring pylon in Friday’s practice.

James Davison will replace Kyle Tilley today in the B.J. McLeod Motorsports No. 5 Xfinity car (qualifying and race). Tilley has a sore shoulder and will focus on Cup practice and that race.
