In preparation for the first race on the all-new Atlanta Motor Speedway, testing is being conducted at the revamped track next week.
Tuesday and Wednesday testing will be conducted by Truck and Xfinity teams.
Cup cars will take to the track on Thursday with Ross Chastain, Chris Buescher, and Kurt Busch participating.
Following the test, NASCAR will also confirm which horsepower package will be used at the track this year. With the repave and higher speeds anticipated, NASCAR is expected to use the 510 horsepower package.
Atlanta tire testing Tue-Thu next week. Closed to media except for about an hour Thu for video/photos from select locations (my guess is closed to public as well). Tue is Xfinity/trucks-teams TBA. Wed-Thu is Chastain (Chevy), Buescher (Ford) & KuBusch (Toyota).
