For the first time this year the NASCAR Cup Series leader is the favorite to win a race. That honor belongs to Chase Elliott.

Elliott is given +250 odds, or an implied 28.6% chance to win the EchoPark Texas Grand Prix. His biggest rival is a struggling Kyle Larson who‘s given +300 odds, or an implied 25% chance to get the victory and redeem himself for finishing 34th and 30th in his last two races.

No other driver is given better than a 10% chance to win the race. Third on the odds market are Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. who‘re given +1000 odds, or an implied 9.1% chance to pull off what oddsmakers believe would be a massive upset.

Quote from OddsChecker spokesman Kyle Newman, “There‘s a combination of things that works in Elliott‘s favor heading into this one. He‘s been the best driver this season, leading the NASCAR Cup Series, is right at the front of the list. However, oddsmakers are also going to take into consideration that Elliott won this race last year, the first time it was ever run. On a track with such little history, that first place finish holds a lot more weight than usual. You see that reflected in the odds.”
