Kyle Larson is the favorite to win the AdventHealth 400. This is the 8th race this season where oddsmakers have chosen to back last year‘s champion. To put that into perspective, nobody else has been favored more than twice.

Larson is given +700 odds, or an implied 12.5% chance to bounce back from his 36th place finish last weekend and win the AdventHealth 400. Oddsmakers believe his biggest competition is set to be Chase Elliott at +800, or an implied 11.1% chance to win. Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch are both at the top of the market as well, given +900 or an implied 10% chance to take home the victory.

Last weekend‘s winner, Joey Logano, is given +1200 odds or an implied 7.7% chance to continue his winning ways. Meanwhile, oddsmakers are buying into Ryan Blaney‘s slump, giving him +1400 odds, or an implied 6.7% chance to win this race.

Quote from OddsChecker spokesman Kyle Newman, “Oddsmakers are so incredibly stubborn when it comes to Kyle Larson. Despite last year‘s champions winning just one race this year, and finishing 29th or worse as many times as he‘s finished top-5 this year, oddsmakers continue to back him. He‘s now been favored to win 61.5% of the races this year, 8 of the 13. It‘s hard for a favorite to win in NASCAR on any given weekend. It‘s even harder when oddsmakers continue to back a man who isn‘t rewarding their faith in him.”
