In a series of tweets beginning on Friday, Stewart Friesen, driver of the #52 Toyota in the Truck Series, documented his travel woes. He shared photos of canceled and delayed flights, a night sleeping on the airport floor, and his disgust at missing Saturday morning practice at Kansas Speedway. An hour and a half before practice, Friesen tweeted that he is stuck in Chicago. Bubba Wallace, a fellow Toyota driver, will practice the #52 in preparation for tonight’s race, which Friesen hopes to race in.

Well made it to Chicago, but flight out this morning was late because of a check engine light on, so of coarse missed connection. Rebooked on another but will miss practice for sure. Unreal.

Flight delayed 6 times from NY to Kansas then cancelled til the morning. If anyone has a teleporter to get me from la guardia to mci would really appreciate it. Currently bedded down for the night on the bricks waiting for a United flight in the early am that connects through Chi.

Appears Bubba Wallace will substitute for Friesen for practice / qualifying (Friesen has had travel woes but is en route) pic.twitter.com/hF2T83lFSO
