Ryan Vargas announced on Twitter that JD Motorsports will have a different driver in the No. 6 Chevrolet in the upcoming Xfinity Series races at Texas Motor Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway and the season finale at Phoenix Raceway.
“I understand these decisions may reflect bad on me from the outside looking in,” Vargas said in a statement, “but there are a lot of factor that go into these decisions.
“I look forward to finishing my scheduled races with the team and delivering for my devoted partners and group of people behind me.”
Vargas earned his best career finish of sixth last month at Daytona International Speedway.
