Kyle Weatherman will compete for Our Motorsports in this Saturday’s Alsco Uniforms 300 Xfinity Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Weatherman will pilot the No. 02 Chevrolet, formerly driven by David Starr in the opening two races of the 2023 season. Starr had a best of 22nd, coming in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

Kyle is an incredibly talented driver and wonderful human being,” Vic Reynolds co-owner of Our Motorsports said in a statement. “He has shown what he is capable of on the track, but it‘s his off the track work ethic that we saw when selecting a driver for the No. 02.”

Weatherman is often touted as a driver that exceeds expectations, including his partial schedule with Jesse Iwuji Motorsports in 2022. In 18 starts piloting the No. 34 Chevrolet last season, he earned an eighth-place finish at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, with a trio of additional top-15 finishes. Weatherman, who ran the first handful of races in DGM Racing’s No. 92 Chevrolet last season, earned another eighth-place finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway in March.

Really excited for this opportunity,” Weatherman added in a statement. “Vic is a great guy and awesome for this sport. I‘ve run really really well at Las Vegas in the past, so I‘m excited to see what we can do with the No. 02 Our Motorsports team.”

The last time the Xfinity Series visited Las Vegas in October, Weatherman drove the No. 34 car to a 14th-place finish. In seven starts at the track, he has a pair of top-20 efforts.
