Funeral service for Craig Eugene Boose, 77, of Piedmont will be Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 10:00 am at Thompson Funeral Home with Mr. Gary McCurdy officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday for one hour prior to services.
Craig passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at St. Vincent‘s East in Birmingham. Survivors include his loving wife of 13 years, Rita Boose; children, Montie Boose (Gloria) of North Carolina, Joey Grimes and Amanda Otwell (Bobby Lee) all of Piedmont; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild;one sister, Robin Delaney (Mark) of Tennessee; and two brothers, Ronnie Boose (Diane) and Doug Boose, all of North Carolina.
He retired from NASCAR where he drove the truck that hauled the pace car. He was an avid NASCAR fan, a strong Trump supporter, loved Alabama football and playing the slot machines. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Helen Boose and a brother, Keith Boose.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Thompson Funeral Home & Crematory (6340 Old Piedmont Gadsden Hwy, Piedmont, AL 36272). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at the Shady Grove Methodist Church Cemetery (3592 Old Piedmont Gadsden Hwy, Piedmont, AL 36272).
